Versatile bench cookies ideal for all sorts of jobs
I had the opportunity to test out the popular anti-slip cookies we've had in our range for a couple of years now. Let's take a look at why a thing looking like a puck can be so popular.
The bench cookies are made of plastic and like I said, they kind of look like a puck. They are fitted with a special rubber layer on both sides. It is highly adhesive and prevents slipping. The body of the cookie is orange and features a logo of the company. The diameter of the cookie is 75 mm and the width is 25 mm.
Distribute the cookies onto your worktable and place your workpiece you want to rout, grind or alter on top of them. It can be used with any material with a large enough surface Greatest advantage being you don't have to affix the workpiece in any way leaving great access to worked material. This allows maximum comfort when working on the edges. Usually, you will need 3 to 4 cookies to secure sufficient friction. That is why we offer the work grippers in a set of 4 pieces.
Accessories for the cookies
You can also purchase very useful cookie cones that lift the workpiece over the worktop with minimum contact and ensure better access to the piece. This comes in handy when painting, varnishing, staining, gluing etc. Again, supplied in a set of 4 pieces.
You can also purchase a rack for the cookies. It's made of steel sheet with a quality black finish. It can stand alone on a shelf or mounted onto a wall. Allowing you to store up to 2 sets of cookies.
In conclusion, renovation of an old chest, meaning the sanding and painting, lasted much less than expected thanks to the cookies. I didn't have to plan ahead or think about how to affix the chest for sanding or how to gently place it down when painting. The cookies are simply a great thing i can highly recommend. And all that for a great price. Try them you yourself...
