Quick mortise using only a drill

Today, we would like to inspire you with another option of using a popular mortising jig, which you can use to make mortises out on a job or in your woodshop using only a drill.

It's basically the cheapest mortising way possible.

A mortise is basically an oblong opening created by drilling holes close together and then connecting them into one mortise, or you can rout out a mortise by moving from side to side while gradually extending the depth of cut.

You can fasten the jig on a 100 mm wide beam, the length can be up to 230 mm and depth up to 90 mm.

This way, you can use the jig when building arbours, pergolas, gazebos or other exterior constructions.

You can build many exterior constructions using this jig.
