Festool Roadshow at IGM 2025: A Day Full of Inspiration and Technical Ingenuity

For the second time, the dark blue vans of the popular Festool Roadshow arrived at IGM, attracting hundreds of enthusiastic woodworkers from the Czech Republic and abroad.

Despite the rather chilly autumn weather, the Festool Roadshow at IGM 2025 was a great success.

The traditional demonstration event of the premium tool manufacturer Festool arrived at IGM in Tuchoměřice on September 26, 2025, and attracted an unprecedented number of visitors. Once again, they had the opportunity to look into the world of top-class professional tools for woodworkers, try them out with their own hands, and receive valuable advice from Festool experts.

In addition to the green-blue tools, there were also demonstrations of woodworking machines by the Laguna brand, as well as machines and jigs from our own IGM brand, which have been making the work of professional woodworkers easier for more than ten years around the world. There was also a raffle, prize competitions, and the traditional popular open woodturning workshop led by master turner Jirka Hurych.

Master turner Jiří Hurych was not short of attention. He advised those interested in his craft on choosing the right chisels and shared proven tips for their own practice.

Competitions, Raffle, and Lots of Goodies

In addition to spinning sanders, Laguna Revo lathes, CNC routers, and other woodworking tools, the day was mainly about fun and a great atmosphere. The raffle also contributed to that — throughout the day, three prize draws took place, organized both by Festool and us at IGM.

The IGM raffle featured three valuable prizes — a Festool spirit level, a practical SYSTAINER, and a foldable LED work light. Festool also prepared its own draw for participants with smaller tools, such as a set of quick clamps or stylish workshop accessories.

Good mood and lots of fun were also ensured by an entertaining competition at the Festool booth. Contestants had to throw a sanding disc with a hook-and-loop backing onto a prepared board so that it stuck. A successful attempt was rewarded with an original Festool cap. All participants then headed to our refreshment area to celebrate their win, toasting with a glass of beer and enjoying a traditional open-faced sandwich or a delicious dessert. The hungriest went for a hearty homemade goulash.

Visitors from Around the World

As usual, visitors could bring their older Festool machines and have them repaired for the price of spare parts. Customers who decided to take home a new machine or tool could shop with a special 15% festival discount on the entire range. In addition, everyone received a small gift with the Festool logo with their purchase.

The festival for all woodworkers and DIY enthusiasts, along with the opportunity to shop at a discount, attracted visitors from all over the country and even from abroad. Wood lovers from Slovakia and Spain arrived.

“I’m setting up a hobby workshop here in the Czech Republic. Until now, I’ve only bought my tools in DIY stores. But here I had the chance to try the Festool DF700 XL Domino Joiner, and it was amazing! I bought it right away,” said Mr. Victor enthusiastically.

There was huge interest in the raffle draws by Festool and IGM. In the meantime, customers could sit at the tables over a pint of beer and one of the treats, or shop for workshop accessories with a special discount on the entire IGM range. Those who wanted some fun could try throwing sanding discs at a target.

And he wasn’t the only woodworker taking his Festool Roadshow experience and new workshop equipment beyond the borders of the Czech Republic. The event was also attended by other guests from abroad who share a passion for woodworking and quality tools.

“We’ve equipped a workshop with machines and the i2R CNC router for a gentleman from the Czech Republic, who, however, is moving to Costa Rica at the end of October — with his entire workshop,” said one of the event organizers, Miroslav David. “We’d also like to thank the customers who made the trip to us all the way from Slovakia,” he added.

All visitors of the Festool Roadshow, as well as we at IGM, thoroughly enjoyed the Friday event despite the bad weather. We’re already looking forward to seeing you again next year at the next Festool Roadshow at IGM.
Until then: Here’s to woodworking!
