The IGM Laguna Fusion 2 is an excellent choice for professional woodworkers looking for a precise and high-quality saw with numerous features to make the job effortless. At first sight, the saw draws attention to its large cast iron worktable that provides big enough space to cut large panels. The saw comes with an additional 500 mm rear table extension that you’ll find handy when cutting longer parts. The saw is fitted with a sturdy rip fence that has a handle with a soft plastic grip. The fence slides smoothly along the table and locks firmly in place. An aluminum profile attached to the fence can be flipped by 90 degrees, allowing you to cut thin stock. The fence features a scale reader ensuring clear sight of the scale and absolute precision when cutting with the aluminum profile both in vertical and horizontal position. There are two T-slots in the cast iron part of the table to conveniently use a mitre fence from both sides of the saw blade.
The smooth saw blade movement is controlled by two cast iron wheels that you can firmly lock in position once set. A handle on each wheel allows to tilt the blade from 0° to 45° and to quickly lift the blade up and down as required. Precise blade tilt is ensured by a digital read-out with illuminated display. The read-out is built in the cabinet at the front. The sophisticated dust extraction from the saw collects dust from the bottom of the cabinet and from the top of the saw blade. The top dust extraction located in the blade guard provides clean working area for precise and comfortable cuts. The cabinet is fitted with a 100 mm metal dust outlet.
Despite the lower power of 1200 W, this saw can tackle rip and cross cuts in hard wood up to 79 mm thick. The solid motor suspension made of cast iron provides stability, guaranteeing a perfect cut. The throat plate inserted in the cast iron table is suitable for all cutting angles, from 0° to 45, and is fitted with levelling screws for flush alignment with the table. Simple removal of the plate is ensured by a thumb lock. The saw can be equipped with a DADO grooving saw blade set with a bore of 15,87 mm (5/8”).
The saw has many smart features. For example, a quick-release mechanism for simple removal of the riving knife in a single step or a cam lock mechanism that allows you to quickly remove and reinstall the blade. There is a handy tool storage for the rip fence, mitre fence, arbor wrench and push stick, so you'll always have them at hand. The cabinet is fitted with wheels to move the saw around a smaller workshop. The entire cast iron table can be easily aligned.
Supplied partially disassembled in a shipping crate on a pallet. Assembly time is approximately 1 hour (two people recommended).
