IGM FD3170 is a double-sided steel template for the IGM FD300 Dovetail Jig for producing 12.7 mm through dovetail joints. It is designed for material 8-19 mm thick and workpieces 31.6-305 mm wide.
The template allows visible through dovetail joints to be produced, for example in drawers, boxes, carcasses and other solid wood projects. The dovetail joint remains visible from both sides after assembly, creating both a strong structural joint and a decorative feature.
The template is double-sided. One side is used to route the pins and the other to route the dovetail part of the joint. Two router bits and two guide bushes are therefore used to produce one joint. The 11.1 x 4 mm guide bush is supplied with the template, while the 15.8 x 4 mm guide bush is supplied with the standard FD300 jig.
Router bits are not included.
