The JET JWL-1440VS is the second successful series of robust medium-sized lathes JET, which excels with robust cast iron construction, a lot of power, precision and flexibility, basically, all that is necessary for great woodturning. The spindle is stored in massive bearings and is driven through a belt with 750 W motor with variable speed control. The spindle can be indexed every 10° using the locking mechanism.
This Woodturning lathe offers a wide range of excellent properties, such as rotating and sliding tailstock and a unique optional bed extension. A table-mounted version without a stand is a standard, stand and cast iron bed extension 508 mm can be purchased as optional accessories. It can be clamped into three separate positions for face turning of large diameters with capacity up to 800 mm or to extend the turning length up to 1524 mm. Check out the video yourself.
