The M100 straight router bit with two carbide flutes is designed for routing from the edge of a material. For example, when cutting grooves, tenons, and rabbets. Can be used in both hand-held and CNC routers.
It is not intended for plunging into material. When routing along a template, you can fit a bearing on the shank (with a stop collar) or use a guide bush in a hand-held router. A long shank allows you to perform deep cuts into material.
Suitable for a variety of materials - soft and hard wood, glued wood materials, plywood, DTD, MDF, laminate, plastic, and artificial stone.
Engineered with High Precision
Each IGM brazed cutter undergoes an automated production on specialized CNC machines, ensuring maximum safety and exceptional precision during brazing and sharpening of the cutting edge. The perfectly balanced construction along with rigorous sharpening process on 5-axis CNC machines guarantees top-tier performance and a clean cut without burrs or burn marks.
Automation and modern production technology virtually eliminates the risk of any defects. Additionally, each router bit is subjected to strict quality control, which detects even the slightest deviation from required parameters. As a result, you receive a reliable and high-quality tool that meets demanding standards.
Durable and Strong Carbide Teeth
IGM brazed cutters are made of high-quality micro-grain carbide (cemented carbide), providing exceptional durability and long tool life. Each tooth is produced with a hardness of 93,5HRA (91HRA for formed flutes) and a thickness of 2 mm, with a minimum of 1 mm for smaller cutters. High hardness guarantees a superb cut, while the thickness allows for multiple resharpening, extending the cutter life without compromising the quality of cut. For best results, sharpening by a specialist is recommend.
PTFE Teflon Coating
The bright red PTFE Teflon coating on the cutter’s surface protects from corrosion, reduces friction, and increases resistance to adhesives, resin, and burn marks. This coating keeps the router bit clean and maintains its sharp edge longer than ordinary cutters.
Anti-kickback
The cutter body is engineered with Anti-kickback technology, significantly reducing the risk of kickback when working. Its design meets the demanding safety criteria of European standards EN 847.
Simple Identification
Every cutter shank is laser-marked with key parameters and a "K" mark that determines the optimal position of the shank in a collet. The parameters include the code, cutting diameter, cutting height, shank diameter and maximum recommended RPM.
Convenient Packaging
All IGM cutters are delivered in a resealable packaging that protects the tool from damage during storage or transport for sharpening. This plastic packaging features a clear label with key specifications, helping you stay organized and quickly switch tools when needed. The router bit is firmly secured in the packaging, so we recommend using gloves for safe removal.
